The ‘Going Global in a Day’ was a two day event that took place last month in Gatwick and Guildford.
There were 120 attendees over the 2 days with 500 one-to-one meetings with market experts, providing expert advice to the SMEs specific to their business and target market.
Ben Raby, DIT’s Head of Exports in the South East, said:
The one to one sessions are the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs and business owners to find out what they can do to succeed overseas.
The event proved useful for all, whether they were new to exporting or looking to develop their export strategy.
With the overall aim being to encourage businesses to take the plunge and go global, through practical, step-by-step guidance from the experts on hand on the day, it is safe to say that that was achieved, with 300 applications submitted.
