UK Space Tech Angels (UKSTA) is an initiative devised and delivered by NPI in conjunction with the Seraphim Space Fund. It launched at Fieldfisher in the City of London in December 2016 following closely behind the opening of Seraphim Space on 1st November 2016.

UK Space Tech Angels follows NPI’s highly successful Angels in the City programme created in conjunction with The City of London Corporation and Angels in MedCity created in conjunction with MedCity. These fully operational investment readiness and investor presentation programmes have between them already nurtured around 750 angel investors since the launch of Angels in the City in 2011. Furthermore circa 100 of the 200 SMEs participating in these two programmes each receiving some ten hours of support from NPI have gone on to raise over £200m of investment over the past five years.

With a particular focus on downstream space technology UK Space Tech Angels will bring potential angel investors together with experts from the space sector in a programme aimed at people who are new to investing as well as experienced investors who have little or no experience of investing in the space sector. The programme hopes to build up investor understanding and confidence in the space sector, which is currently poorly understood by generalist start up and early stage angel investors.
