The Export ASEAN Project is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and delivered by Newable with the Department for International Trade (DIT) South East Region. The Export ASEAN Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs within the Coast to Capital area (Brighton, Hove, Gatwick, Lewes, West Sussex) in international markets and will achieve this goal by providing these SMEs with the expertise and support needed to break into ASEAN markets Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Lao PDR, Vietnam.
The Exporting ASEAN Project targets the Healthcare, Life Sciences, Medial Technology, Creative, ICT & Digital, Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing, Financial & Business Services, Environmental Technology, Goods and Services, and Construction priority sectors.
As a part of the Export ASEAN Project, the support Programme offers SMEs within the Coast to Capital area the possibility to receive bespoke advice and support from an International Trade Adviser (ITA), who can act as an independent mentor for their businesses and help them overcome the barriers that may prevent them from exporting or growing internationally

By 2019, Global Growth will have supported 243 SMEs and created 103 jobs.
